Answers: 1.During the PA program a student may withdraw himself or herself from the program at any time of the course. An email or a letter must be submitted to the director of the program and the student should mention the plans to withdraw. In order to take a withdrawal the student must complete available procedure that is filling up a withdrawal form that may be available online. In some cases, the student may have to collect the form from the Registrar’s office. In this case, it is very important to mention that if the student withdraw himself or herself from the college, he or she must be withdrawn from the all courses. The filled up form must be signed and returned to the registrar’s office. However, if the students, who is withdrawn himself of herself from the PA course, may reapply to continue the course for the next matriculation year(Stfrancis.edu, 2018). In addition another term, that is also associated with the course of PA, is leave of absence. The students who have to take a break due to their prolonged physical illness or due to their personal reasons may apply for a leave of absence requests. The personal problems of the students may include problems in their family, any medical emergency of the parents or medical issues of their relatives. In this case, to apply for a leave of absence the student must apply to the PA program director and it would be written application. This application must be approved by the dean of the college. A leave of absence may be accepted for a time period of > 1 years (in case of didactic phase) or for 2 continuous clinical rotations in the time of the clinical phase of the procedure. The Didactic phase of leave of absence refers to the short-term leave of that has the duration of 2 week or >2 weeks . In case of medical leave the student must produce a medical certificate from the doctor and in it the tentative date of rejoining the course should be mentioned. The student would be liable for missing out classes, lectures, assignments and exams that may held during that time. In the didactic phase, only 2 short term leave of absence can be approved for the PA student(Stfrancis.edu, 2018). In case of long-term leave of absence, the time period is < 2 weeks. However if the student takes a long-tern leave he or she will be unable to catch the speed of the course as it is very fast in nature. The returning students of PA courses will repeat all the course consequences. In addition they also must complete all the procedure of reentry and they must have to pass the all the courses as it is very important to secure at least pass grade in order to pass the whole course. However, the reentry course grades will not replace the previously posted grades of the PA course. The tuition fees would are abandoned until the rejoining student arrive to the quarter in which declaration of the student is required. In case of clinical phase, the leave can be approved for 6 weeks. In case of clinical phases, short term leave is not applicable as it requires rotations of hour. However, if the student have to take a leave of absence, there will be a cancellation of the rotational program and it must be rescheduled later. It is recommended for the students not to request a leave of absence for more than 2 continuous rotations during the clinical year(Stfrancis.edu, 2018). 2.Physician assistants (PAs) are one of the important medical personnel that are responsible for the diagnosing of the various illness along with the doctors. In addition they are also responsible for developing and managing treatment plans, prescribing required medicines for the patients. In most of the cases it is seen that they are responsible for providing the primary care for the patients. Physician assistant field is blooming field in recent times and PAs are accepted as a very crucial persons in terms of providing the health care to the patients. The PAs practice medicine under the supervision of the licensed physicians and they are giving care in a wide range from primary care to surgical care(Pace.edu, 2018). It is my dream to be a PA as it is a noble profession and not only that they are responsible to give care in a wide manner. Along with this, PA program will allow me to interact with various type of people and as I love to communicate with people, the role of a PA will be very much suitable for me. Not only that, PAs can also prescribe medicines and that will allow me to serve more number of people. PAs are also associated with the physical examinations of the patients, ordering and interpreting the pathological lab reports, counselling the patients and also diagnosing an illness. This type of adverse job role attract me most and that is one of the major reason for choosing PA program as a carrier option. In addition, there are various possibilities that include opportunities in the research field, administration field and in academia field as well. So, it can be said that, multipurpose job profile, nobility of the job, and a huge future prospective will encourage me to choose the PA program. It can also be added that the program can help me to achieve professional development and growth, giving me the opportunity to grow my career in healthcare industry. I strongly believe that the program can help to develop as well as diversify my skills and competencies in a way that I can take on more roles and responsibilities and thus providing me a competitive advantage and help me climb the ladder of success. Moreover, the program will help me understand the concepts of healthcare administration and how strategic decisions can be used to improve the healthcare. Working as a physician assistant can also help me maintain the quality of care for the patients, thus playing a key role in the providence of quality care and help to uphold the values and obligations of the healthcare organization towards the care users. Thus such a role can help me to work towards the welfare of the people, helping people to have access to better healthcare delivery thereby allowing me to contribute towards the development of a social capital and equitable care. One of my biggest motivations to work in healthcare industry is my drive to help others and this program would not only help to achieve professional development, but also help me to achieve personal development.
